Just days before the 2020 election, campaigns on the side of both parties to win the seat to White House, the US is experiencing the next wave of the pandemic.
According to Johns Hopkins, he said the United States has set a new one day record Friday for new coronavirus cases of 83,000 cases. Recently, another aide in White House got infected with the virus, this however isn’t affecting Trump’s Campaign Team.
Rally for voters is still ongoing for the second run. Oppositions are saying that despite all these infections and increase in COVID-19, Trump should cease campaigning.
Over a few days before the election, Vice President Mike Pence is seriously out there campaigning for votes even though his chief of staff, Marc Shorts has tested positive for COVID-19.
Vice president Mike Pence’s opponent from Democrats, vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris, has suspended her campaign trail when one of her staff members tested positive for the virus. Because of her actions, she has criticized Mike Pence for continuing with his campaign and travelling.
She said that, “I think we have modeled the right and good behavior and they should take our lead.” Over the years, Democrats have blamed President Trump for mishandling the pandemic. They have accused them of letting the virus spread rapidly when they could have taken measures to control it.
On the other hand, Trump is telling his supporters to have hope because it is going to be over. The Trump Campaign Team is saying that to control the rise we must engage in a lot of treatment. Report says that White House is now ready for treatment.
White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said “We are not going to control the pandemic. We are going to control the fact that we get vaccines, therapeutics.”
Joe Biden called this move by the White House an act of failure.
President Trump’s focus is now on the economy of the US. He said that Joe Biden would collapse the producing company especially the fracking industry in Pennsylvania.
Joe however said that he never opposed fracking, but has said in the past it would be “eliminated.”
