The latest update had it that, both TikTok and Oracle have prepared their side of the deal to be signed but there seems to be too much controversy, thus the government of US had decided to ban the Chinese based Tech Company TikTok and WeChat.
TikTok and WeChat will be banned from US app stores from Sunday, unless President Donald Trump agrees to a last-minute deal. According to BBC.
People in the United States will not be able to download TikTok and WeChat from any app store of any platform. As stated by the Department of Commerce in the US. Also they said that the Communist Party in China has used this means to threaten the national security and foreign policy of the United State.
The inventor of WeChat, Tencent said that this decision was a harsh one and unfortunate but they will try much harder to talk to the US government to find a solution to the problem which will help them in a long term operation. On the other hand, TikTok’s parent ByteDance says that it was disappointed with this decision by Trump’s administration and disagrees with the US department of Commerce.
According to BBC, “We will continue to challenge the unjust executive order, which was enacted without due process and threatens to deprive the American people and small businesses across the US of a significant platform for both a voice and livelihoods.”
TikTok has been given until November 12 to resolve any threat it poses to the national security of the US. Well TikTok has up to that time to get things in order, or it will have to present a suitable deal before that but the tension is that China has also interfered and commanded that TikTok shouldn’t engage in any transaction.
Can TikTok prevent this ban within 48 Hours or will it obey the regulations of China? Is Donald Trump trying to be bossy over China?
