After several controversies that ByteDance own TikTok has been facing it has yet come under another serious attack.
TikTok is struggling to remove top viral video of a man killing himself.
This video has been trending on all the social media platforms which was first seen on Facebook and then Twitter.
TikTok has warned users to be careful as it has tried to remove or ban accounts responsible for that footage. Most young people that have seen this video have been very impulsive and are being traumatised by its content.
Facebook being the originator of this video has assured its users that they have removed the original and duplicate copies of the video. Also, they expressed their deepest sympathy for the loss of that man. “Our thoughts remain with Ronnie’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
This video has disturbed a lot of people including a 14-year-old girl who was shocked on seeing this horrific video.
Her mother told BBC news that she has never seen her daughter in that manner before, facial expression was mute for several minutes. “My daughter was in a state of shock, still is in a state of shock and this could stay with her for months.”
TikTok’s algorithms often recommend content from people not directly followed by a user. It is reported that some users have been sharing that post and some have also urged people to delete it.
Instagram has also faced criticisms from users for allowing the video to trend on the app. This is not the first time Instagram has faced such a problem.
Could this be another pinpoint that the US could stand on to ban TikTok as it’s deadline gets closer?
What we are afraid of is that TikTok has entered into its doomsday?
