The Township has been off the scene for a while, but has returned with major fireworks …

If you were born in the 90s, Harry Potter, a movie franchise in the early 2000s, is something you may have witnessed, with the magical world of witchcraft and wizardry winning the world over on cinematic screens. The school that all magicians sent their wards to was none other than the elite school of Hogwarts. And at Hogwarts, their motto is “Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus’’, or, “Never tickle a sleeping dragon”.

Otherwise known in another phrase as ‘let sleeping dogs lie’. They all mean the same thing; that a beast, when awoken from its slumber, will do quite a bit of damage. It is, without doubt, the right choice of words to convey a simple message; The Township is back, and he is back with a bang with his new single, King.

The breakdown of the inspiring record, ‘King’

It was never a doubt that this tune was going to be pure flames, and the artist, adopting an afro-pop approach to the record, didn’t fail in his delivery. The colorful instrumental produced by Swit carried an ominous complexion and played to the tone of the song entirely.

Accompanied with additional vocals from Laami, whose appearance in the background was stellar, it all comes together seamlessly like the masterful piece of art it is once you hit play, and it’s one you’ll leave on repeat for days.

The profound message about making moves happen and leaving all plans in the hands of God captured in this song is a simple yet a powerful echo for all listeners as we live in a fast-paced world where everyone is ready to achieve great things all on their own. Sometimes, you need to push and let the divine step in to do the rest. And that’s what The Township wants all his listeners to know on this record. King is out now on streaming platforms.

Enjoy this tune!
