Controversies over controversies, challenges over challenges upon TikTok. Over the past weeks, technological brands have gain names, honour and wealth for themselves like Apple hitting the stock market with 2 trillion wealth, Samsung unveiling their fold smartphone and others but unfortunately for ByteDance they have drained down upon their image as a brand.
Trump’s allegations, India ban, suicide viral video; are all the challenges they have been facing. Well the final day for TikTok to sell their own company in US has finally arrive.
The President of the United States of America, Mr. Trump has given TikTok up to 15th September to sell their shares in States or they should collapse their company.
Mr. Trump was specific when he said, “There will be no extension of the TikTok deadline.” According to the last update, TikTok has taken legal actions against the allegations of Trump. Trump said that TikTok has been collecting information about US citizens and using them to pose threat for national security, since it is a Chinese based Company.
According to BBC, if ByteDance doesn’t sell the app, then US firms will be barred from doing business with it after the deadline has elapsed. ByteDance also faces restrictions on selling its assets to firms outside China, which further complicates the sale of TikTok.
On Thursday, Mr. Trump said it publicly that, we will see what happen, either they sell it or stop operation. TikTok has not responded to these statements from Trump.
