Ever since the start of the One-eighth of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), it has traditionally been all about surprises and seizing of “moments.” This One-eighth stage is a proved that NSMQ is an outstanding quiz show from either the UGBS Auditorium or New N Block.

This last day of the One-eighth Stage was capped with surprise and excitement as true winners were revealed.

The last day of the One-eighth Stage saw the lives of NSMQ five times champions, Presbyterian Boys’, Legon having a smooth and easy access to the Quarter final stage by beating Aggrey Memorial SHS and Sunyani SHS with ease.

Also, “Mmarima mma” of Koforidua Secondary Technical fought their way to the Quarter final stage by clashing University Practice SHS and St. Charles Minor Seminary.

The action continued live at New N Block arena, where Ghana National College mercilessly crashed their opponents with a huge gap……what a beating!

Kumasi’s very own KNUST SHS also competed in the One-eighth but unluckily for them failed to qualify as they lost to Osino Presby SHTS by 30 to 23 points with a difference of seven points, also St. John’s Grammar had 14 points being last.

Northern School of Business was set to challenge Bolgatanga SHS and St. John’s School at R.S. Amageshie, UGBS Auditorium. With Dr. Thelma Ohene-Agyei as the quizmistress. The competition began hard for schools as their opponents were not ready to give up.
