Sheffield United, who was outstanding last season, securing a top 8 finish after they entered the premier league, lost their latest outing to Bielsa’s Leeds. That defeat means that Sheffield has lost all their games this season so far and sits 20th at the bottom of the league.
It has not been a good start for Chris Wilder’s men, who haven’t quite clicked into gear this season.
The match looked set to end in a goalless draw, but if these 3 weeks have taught us anything, it’s that matches ending in draws are becoming rare in the premier league as only 2 matches have produced draws. Even in those, there were goals and late drama.
One point would have been better than none, but Leeds have shown so far that they aren’t settling for any team at all. Patrick Bamford secured the winner on the 88th-minute mark to deal a deadly blow to the blades.
Chris Wilder has all to do now as this start is not the best, especially as they go to Arsenal soon in their coming games. They have to get it together.
