The Young Bull, as he is affectionately known to his beloved fans, has dropped his Debut EP dubbed “Time” after he held a low-key listening session for the project.
Yaw Tog has celebrated a meteoric rise to the scene and has never looked back, especially when the Kumerican together with his fellow artists in the likes of O’Kenneth, Reggie Jay Bahd, City Boy and others dropped a banger in Sore.
The song has since then received global acclaim, when Yaw Tog got British rapper and songwriter, Stormzy and Ghana’s darling Kwesi Arthur on the remix. After the song’s inception, the Asakaa sound has gained momentum with various artists using drill more and more.
The EP is 7 tracks long with singles Yɛɛgye and Sore’s remix already out. The artist not only focuses on the drill sound but pushes it into vocal performances and storytelling.
It’s as though the project was an announcement of his range in skill not being limited to the famed Asakaa sound but that he has the versatility to switch it up and mix it up a bit.
The 3 Awards has nominated Yaw Tog for Breakthrough Act of the Year, with the ceremonies set to be held on the 27th of March.
Time EP is out on all streaming platforms.
