COVID-19 and the Conspiracy Stories -4

Must Read

An avid creative whose word plays so much that words say I play too much; a Ki'shon flow. Life is a journey and we're all full of stories.

Are we sitting on the edge of an apocalypse and don’t know it yet?

It is hard to reply in the negative about this question. A lot of people are either in denial about the fact that this could be the end or are simply not entertaining those thoughts. But deep down, all of us have that eerie feeling and urge to ask, what if this is the beginning of the end?

Maybe COVID-19 isn’t the end, maybe it’s just one of the few precursors to initiate everything. It doesn’t sound far fetched at all, especially looking at the things that are happening parallel to this pandemic.

Take the locusts occurrence in East Africa. Any animal would not have raised eyebrows. But locusts are significant in most books that speak on the apocalypse or the apocalyptic times as a sign of things essentially going into the deep end. The talk of how a vaccine could be administered if it is developed via a chip or an injection to salvage the current situation did not bode well when it was heard, be it rumor or true. How China and the Asian continent have handled all this has a shady element to it and to be honest, a lot of people still hold on to the possibility that this is all a part of a grand scheme at work. The icing on the cake had to do with Bill Gates deciding that Africa should be the lab to test out a cure they had developed. Well if it wasn’t raising any alarms then, it is certainly raising alarms now. Especially since the problem is not going away. There is a nagging idea that society might have to be reshaped to accommodate our current situation and prevent the loss of lives and that in itself sounds like an apocalyptic movie. There are too many moving loops at this point and a lot of unknown unknowns.

The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. It means that there are known knowns and known unknowns, but there are also unknown unknowns – things that you don’t know that you don’t know. Yeah, it’s a bit confusing, but it’s worth thinking about.
